Sup. Tony Evers Fundraised with Mayor Tom Barrett, Sen. Chris Larson

By Collin Roth

Non-partisan incumbent candidate for State Superintendent Tony Evers held a fundraiser in Milwaukee on Wednesday night at the Hyatt Regency Hotel with special guest Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

Evers, who has been raising campaign money from the left-wing ActBlue website, is openly courting Democrats in his bid for second term as State Superintendent.

In 2012, Evers purchased mailing lists and software from the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and attempted to raise money off of an interview by what he labeled “the right-wing Education Action Group” after a reporter asked him about his endorsement of a radical Left-wing off-shoot of Voces de la Frontera.

Also in attendance at Evers’ fundraiser was State Senator Chris Larson, who like Mayor Barrett and Superintendent Evers is openly hostile to school choice and recent efforts to expand the program.

Superintendent Tony Evers has openly opposed school reforms and stood with Democratic lawmakers and the teachers union the last two years. Evers participated in protests of Governor Walker’s collective bargaining reforms, called the expansion of school choice “morally wrong,” and signed a petition to recall Governor Scott Walker.

Superintendent Tony Evers will face Rep. Don Pridemore on April 2, 2013 for a four-year term as State Superintendent.

  1. I am very concerned that Supt Evers has shown little concern for working with business/industry to address the Skills Gap that exists in WI. This is not the right person for the job. We need someone who is willing to take down the barriers that exist in K-12, Technical, 2 year and university. This is not the person for that job. Has shown no willingness nor aptitude.

This is what passes for “non-partisan” in the Marxist Neverland of Madison.

  3. It’s very trouble-free to find out any topic on web as compared to books, as I found this paragraph at this web site.
