On Tuesday, President Barack Obama visited Milwaukee to rally voters on behalf of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke. Burke is a wealthy millionaire whose family founded Trek Bicycle, a Wisconsin-based company that has outsourced some jobs overseas.
Media Trackers attended the Obama-Burke rally and, without identifying Burke, asked some attendees what they thought of a gubernatorial candidate of substantial means with ties to outsourcing. Obama in 2012 blasted his Republican opponent, Mitt Romney, for his wealth and ties to companies that outsourced jobs.
Here’s what Obama supporters had to say about a gubernatorial candidate’s wealth and ties to outsourcing. That candidate, of course, is Mary Burke, but Burke hasn’t been explaining her wealth or outsourcing to many voters.
