Left Wing activist arrested in Wisconsin Capitol Bomb Scare

Madison Police have made an arrest in the bomb scare case that temporarily halted the Assembly’s budget debate last week.

55 year old Daniel Veerhusen of Madison was taken into custody by capitol police on July 14. Daniel is a former member of the Madison Scouts Alumni Honor Guard, who is radical leftwing activist/ part time solidarity singer who not only signed the recall but also started a Facebook group with 130 members called “Impeach Scott Walker.”

Veerhusen also worked as a poll worker during the April 3, 2012 presidential primary election and also more recently as a Madison election worker in the cities most recent election on April 7th.

Veerhusen’s Facebook page is full of hatred directed at Republican lawmakers. A post from December 15, 2010 shows Senator Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa) in a committee hearing on a bill that would legalize medical marijuana. In his post he calls Vukmir the “wicked witch of Wauwatosa” and calls for people to “BURN HER ! BURN HER !” The video posted shows the crowd rudely interrupting Vukmir as she attempts to speak and in a comment underneath the video Veerhusen proudly took credit for being one of those interrupting the Senator saying, “I wanted her to know that medical marijuana would help with the female issues she seemed to be dealing with.”

In a July 16 post on his Impeach Scott Walker Facebook group, Veerhusen blames his bomb threat on, “what happens to a civic minded citizen when too much party politics gets in the way of the needs on to citizens that were promised credible representation.”
