University students in Colorado were so disturbed by graphics on an Americans For Tax Reform tour bus, that the group recently was ordered to move out of the lot they were paying to park in. The graphics on the bus however, were simply statements about the Obamacare taxes still in effect. Facts, that were apparently enough to elicit a “trigger” moment in onlookers.
Paul Blair of ATR explained that the tour bus was parked in a Marriott parking lot with the prior arrangement made that they would pay $29 a night for parking. However in the the morning, Blair said that he received a warning from the front desk and a call the the bus had to be moved because the “college campus does not allow vehicles (including RVs) with ‘political messages’ on them on campus.”
Seemingly either the nearby Auraria Higher Education campus or the hotel staff was triggered by the information about taxes printed on the bus. Blair said of the situation:
In claiming that the college does not permit political messages on campus, the hotel manager revealed that she was either personally triggered (as we were paying the hotel $29/night to park where they advised us to) OR that the college campuses, publicly funded by taxpayers, oppose political and free speech.
