Is Chris Abele Really the Best Option?
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel endorsed Chris Abele for Milwaukee County Executive believing Abele “has the best chance to fix what’s broken.” The endorsement heaps praise on Abele’s experience and vision, declaring that he could be a “game changer.”
“His vision for setting aside parochial interests and working together is admirable.”
It appears that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has fallen for Abele’s $800,000 campaign of deception. Last week, Media Trackers uncovered just how bipartisan Abele is. The highlights include:

Proud support of “lefty causes.”

$145,000 to Democratic candidates and campaigns and not a single dollar to anything remotely Republican or conservative.

The Argosy Foundation, which the Journal Sentinel heralds as “playing a key role in supporting local social, education, and arts programs,” has provided grants for such progressive organizations as The Institute for One Wisconsin, Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group, Fair Wisconsin, and The Progressive magazine.
The “vision” that the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel endorses is one of consistent support and adherence to a radical progressive agenda. Abele hasn’t set aside his parochial interests as the paper suggests, he’s just hidden them from the voters of Milwaukee County.
